Big Top Fun
Here are some highlights from Ian's circus/clown birthday party today. These were the invitations, which we hand-delivered a couple weeks back. Our living room became the big top for the morning. We had faces painted,We ate corn dogs, animal crackers, lemonade, and kettle corn. We played some clown games, like walking the tightrope with clown clothes on, pin the nose on the clown (which Bronwen nailed right on the bulls-eye!), and keeping the balloon off the ground. We had entertainment by our own clown, "Cheesy Mac" aka Kimball, who had watched the professional clowns at the circus last month and taken a few notes. We had a beautiful cake, decorated by Aunt Alli, and opened presents. Fun was had by all, and I've already vacuumed up the popcorn that was ground into the carpet, so it feels like a success! Happy Birthday, Ian!

Okay, that is THE coolest birthday party I have ever seen!!!
When I first saw the invites on your other blog I thought it was going to be for a movie party...this is a million times better, and I even thought the movie party was a fabulous idea. Seriously, Michal, this is awesome. Ian is a lucky little boy!
I hope you don't mind if I copy this. (Well, except the cake, that is impossible with my lack of cake skills)
It looks like Ian had a great day.
Happy Birthday Ian!
What a great event!
Too cute ... Olivia had so much fun she thought she was it because she got to go to a birthday party for one of her friends...I think this is her first without her brothers... Thanks for the fun... The cake was awsome and tasted great...
I especially LOVE that picture of Ian with his face painted. Too fun!
Wish we could have been there!
What a great birthday! Michal, you're really amazing. Really truly. And that cake! I need Ally to rescue my child unfriendly cakes. I love cheesy mac too. What a great brother. Happy Birthday, Ian.
Michal- I can't believe I found you. I was reading c jane and saw your comment and knew it was you! It's been ages. I just looked in my very outdated address book and I still have your address listed on Via Del Palma! You look great and you have a beautiful family. I hope you don't mind me stalking your blog. . . Send me a note when you have some free time, Lisa Oldroyd Ellsworth
Happy Birthday Ian "Frank" - looks like you had a wonderful circus day! Wish we could have been there to enjoy the fun with you.
